Local preview
The current smile studio processes the selected image in your browser. The original photo is not sent to Try a New Smile merely to create or download a preview.
No hidden clinical record
Using the public prototype does not create a patient account, clinical record or treatment request.
Website data
Like most websites, the hosting and security infrastructure may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, time and requested page to deliver and protect the service. This is separate from the face photo used inside the local studio.
Optional anonymous analytics load only after you choose Allow. They can record funnel stages such as opening the tool, successful or failed automatic positioning, saving a concept, creating or sharing a voting link, casting a vote, downloading a result or following a consultation link. Analytics do not receive your photo, file name, exported image, voting-link address, share identifier or tooth-by-tooth design data. You can choose No thanks and continue using the complete tool.
Local drafts and deletion
The studio can save the selected photo and design versions in this browser so you can return later. Use Delete local photo & designs inside the studio to remove that local draft from the device.
Temporary A/B voting links
The studio stays local unless you actively choose Create a 7-day voting link and give consent. That action uploads reduced copies of two generated preview images. The original photo file, design controls, name and email address are not included, but the uploaded previews still show the face in the selected photo.
The resulting address is unlisted and blocked from search indexing, but anyone who receives the link can view both previews and vote. Links, preview images and votes are deleted automatically after seven days. The browser that created a link stores a deletion key locally so you can remove it earlier. Clearing browser storage may remove access to that early-delete control.
Voting data and abuse prevention
A random identifier stored in a voter's browser limits that browser to one current choice per link; the choice can be changed while the link remains active. The service also creates a one-way security fingerprint from basic request information to enforce creation limits. It does not store the raw value as part of the voting record, and temporary sharing records are removed when the link expires.
Professional review
Opening a voting link or using the studio does not send a treatment request. Contacting an external dental service is a separate action governed by that service's own privacy information.
